Hi and welcome to the tribe. I hope your dyke food venture goes well. It sounds quite fun. Taste and preferences being a relative thing, I'll tell you what I would order. I would probably pick a nice cut of beef, with some asparagus or brussel sprouts and either potatoes or rice pilaf. That doesn't sound like a very adventurous meal, though. It is a sensible shoe type of meal, probably. Then my partner would order duck or chicken and I would taste some of it and she would taste some of mine. If she ordered fish I probably wouldn't try it. Well, maybe just a bit because it looks temptingly tasty. Happy cooking to you. Cheers

You know what I love about sensible shoes? They can go almost anywhere.

This was close to the kind of thing I was thinking of.

I also really love a good wine and cheese platter as well.

Dykes in San Diego seem to love all things vegetarian, sushi, Thai, Mexican, Chinese, and anything you can feed each other with your hands. Fingers foods are totally lesbian kinda sexy.

    Good luck!

I love your question. First, have great times with your dykes and food. It is always and is an important combination. Now, I have been to Japan and love the Japanese food there. I run a lesbian company with about 20 lesbian/dykes and we most often eat lunch dinnner and breakfast together, because we make films. We have vegan, vegetarians, fish eaters, and we eat everything kind of women. As a women who loves women, at first i was concerned that i could not please them all, food wise. But as time went by this is what they usually want...all most all the women want finger food, many choices.. sliced meat, cheese, nuts, olives, hummus, vegs, bread, mangos, sliced apples, grapes.....they love sushi but we can not afford it often...here it is expensive. Candy and chocolate is a must. Some like eating all the time. Enjoy your friends.Shell

        Food is erotic to women!
It's nurture, it's meditation, a direct path to your body and what you are all about

sensuous, decadent foods that aren't junk food.
exotic, foreign flavours, spicy dishes, Thai curry with coconut, lemongrass, and kefir lime leaves
Naughty deep fried like fish tacos, samosas, tempura, Vietnamese spring rolls, and chile rellenos.
Rich and creamy dishes like Italian pannacotta, prawns in coconut milk, lavender gelati, and anything witn whip cream
fragrant fruits, mangos, strawberries, raspberries, passionfruit, guavas
and of course chocolate! ganache, messy fondue,

mmmmm....wish we could all get together for that potluck!!!
all of you can bring everything you suggested,
we'll wear togas and nibble all weekend!
